Description
The Aico MCP401RC Emergency Call Point is an essential emergency device designed to trigger all alarms within a connected fire detection system. When activated, it sends a signal that triggers all alarms, ensuring that everyone in the area is alerted to a potential emergency. This call point is mains powered and can be easily integrated into your alarm system via hard-wired interconnection, offering flexibility in installation.
Operation is simple and effective. When the MCP401RC is pressed, it activates all connected alarms, causing them to sound. Once the emergency is over, the unit can be reset using the provided key, which will cancel the interconnect signal and stop the alarms from sounding. This reset function eliminates the need to replace broken glass, as the front plate is made from durable, non-breaking plastic that can be easily reset after use.
The MCP401RC is powered by 230V AC mains and is equipped with tamper-proof rechargeable lithium cells, which are designed to last the entire 10-year life of the unit. In the event of a power failure, the device can operate for up to 2 months on battery backup, ensuring continuous functionality.
This call point is compatible with Aico’s 3000 Series and 140e Series Smoke, Heat, and Carbon Monoxide alarms, supporting up to 20 units in total, including the MCP401RC. Installation is straightforward, using a 3-core connection (Live, Neutral, and Interconnect) with 0.75mm² or 1.00mm² cable.
The MCP401RC comes with a 5-year guarantee and includes a 35mm deep surface mounting box, reset key, and all necessary screws and fixings. It has a compact design (85 x 85 x 60mm) and is lightweight, weighing just 230g.
